Default Cabin lights don't turn on

Since it's dark now when I come home from work, I've noticed that my interior lights don't turn on when I open either door. They do however turn on when I hit the lock button on the key fob, but only for a couple seconds.

I'm not sure what the normal operation of the interior lights is with respect to the doors, locking/unlocking, key in/out of ignition, etc. But there is a problem.

Could this be a bad BCM? Everything else seems to be working just fine.

Next to the light switch and dimmer, there should be a button that says "Dome Override" or something like that, press it and see if that fixes your problem

You can also flick the dimmer switch all the way up to engage all interior lights as well. It's a quick way to test if they work.

If it's not that, then you might have issues with your door jamb switch/contacts. It may be rusted/clogged up in the closed position or grounded out...maybe...

Well the interior lights worked perfectly fine today on the way home. I didn't touch the dome override button, it is currently pushed out. The interior lights also come on when the dimmer switch is turned all the way up as they should.

Kinda sounds like a burnt up dimmer switch. You may have un-crustified the dimmer circuit if you rolled it, since the whole shebang is built together.
