Default C6500 Flat Bed ride real bad?

I just got a 2001 Chevy C 6500 8.1. Had a bad steering box fixed it and drove for first time. Roughest ride I ever drove. has anyone had same problem? Or a fix?

Have a 04 C 6500 Duranmax, Roughest ride you'll ever have. Use mine for a hay wagon. It has a super 9800 Ledwell bed with Parker Hydraulics. Hell of a work horse but it will rattle your ***** off. If you want to soften it up a bit you could modify a Kodiak air ride onto the truck. Probably do the whole swap for couple grand.

You're never going to get an ideal ride out of a 8-leaf stacked suspension. It's supposed to have several thousand pounds on top of it first. You could go air-ride as mentioned earlier, will cost some dough but will save you in dental bills.

It has to spacers under the stack. I was thinking of placing them between the main and the rest of stack hope to ride on main empty then others when loaded?

You could try, but I doubt it will help much. Paul Bunyan could jump up and down on that main spring alone and complain it didn't compress.
