Default a/c problems

My a/c worked fine before i swapped in my new motor. I never unhooked anything from the system, only moved it out of the way. Well i finally hooked it back up after three months and the clutch doesn't turn on. I can turn it on with HPtuners though. I thought it could be the cycling switch so i jumped it and the clutch came on so i replaced it, it still didn't work. When the clutch comes on it doesn't get cold either. The clutch won't engage at all with the control switch though, but the a/c light does come on.

Do automotive AC systems have a high and low pressure switch that will turn your ac off? If the blood fueled 408 is still running hot it is very possible the ac condenser coil isn't getting enough cool air across it. That will cause it to run a high head pressure and not cool.

There is a hi and low pressure switch, so yes 2 switches. Adams problem could lie with a relay or pressure switch. BUT!! Make sure the cut-out switch on the back of the compressor is hooked up too!!!

Have you took it for a ride and forced the compressor on with HP? Than you'd know for sure it is getting enough air across it. I take it you got your oil pressure figured out? Give me a call about Saturday.

Sounds like the same problem I was having. I bet your refrigerant leaked out somehow.

go ahead and throw some gauges on it and check your pressures to see if you have any freon in there jump the cycle switch to watch pressures change

Let me as you this:
Do you have efans? Did you splice into the a/c wire when you did your efans?

I say this because I did an efan swap into a friends tbss and everything worked great. The fans even turned on when you turning the a/c on, but the a/c would work.

Come to find out when I had used the splice connector, he had pulled it apart tightening up the intake and while it still looked connected it wasn't making a possitive connection.

I have efans, but they are just hooked to a toggle switch.
