Default Busings..........

Hey guys- as many of you know I've recently picked up a 2006 ECSB Sierra. I love the truck, but it feels loose and floaty. Right now I have new shocks on the way but I wonder about the A-/ Control Arm bushings. what can I check to verify that I need new bushings?
And are trucks really this doggy with 3.42 gears?

jack it up, lock the steering wheel and try and turn the front tires left and right. if the a-arm moves any the bushings are bad. that's how i check on my RZR anyways lol. rock the tire up and down to check your hub bearings and the bushings on the rear suspension can be a visual thing.

Thanks TX. Have shocks comming in on Teusday, I'll check when I'm down there. I love the idea of having new bushings from like energy suspension just not too crazy about what it would take..........

Got the shocks on, less vibration on the road- think tires may need balancing. Truck holds turns alot better. Tuned with HP Tuners really impressed what the 3.42 gears can do with those big 265/70R17's via the little LM7....................
