Default bulb out in gauges?

I have a cluster from an ss silverado and the bulb behind the trans temp gauge is out. my first question is do I have to mark the gauge needles before I remove them or does it matter? second I took my stock set apart and I cannot get the bulbs out. Are they soddered to the board.

Thanks for the help

Mike

If you take it to the dealer, they will just order a new one, and $275 or so later your bulb will be replaced. There have been some people that've done it, I don't think it's hard, but im not sure.
