Default Bro Crashed my truck!!! (long)

Monday night I picked up my car from getting a stereo, amp, and speakers installed. Told my older bro to take the truck home and put it in the garage because I had to wait for the car.

5 min later I get a call, "Sorry J. I'm really sorry." I was like what happened. He said, " I crashed your truck, but I'm really sorry."

I ran down to the freeway on ramp where he was and seen my truck stuck on island. At this time, I was furious. He said that he spun out. I looked at the onramp and seen probably 200 feet of skidmarks.

I was like what the ****! He said that he stepped on it a little too much going around the turn. He must have been going like 45+ getting sideways and lost it and spun out. I didn't know what to say, he was ready to cry before I said anything.

Nothing looked too bad, so I wasn't that mad. All until I walked to the other side of the truck and seen the 8 feet of asphault curb that he complete tore off the pavement. When the truck spun, the back went into the curb and smashed it.

Called a tow truck and had it pulled off the island. Took over an hour and a half. After I got it and drove it, I realized my truck was really fucked up. The rims was bent, gear oil was leaking, I had a pulsating brake pedal, and front vibration. I pulled the truck off the freeway and said you deal with this **** and drive it home.

I didn't even want to drive my truck. It's going to the shop today, Thursday, to find the extent of the damages. I think, new axle, hub, rotor, rims(Weld Evo possibly $650), leaf springs, frame brace, and lower control arm.

The truck is fucked and I'm pssied. Knowbody will be touching my truck anymore. I could see if it were truly an accident, but getting sideways ona freeeway on ramp is a bit much for me to hanldle. I guess I will be driving his VHO until my truck gets fixed.

It seems people arent having much luck with siblings driving their trucks. My brother got home yesterday and Im now afraid to let him sit in the front seat.
That sucks man. Are you having his insurance cover it since he was driving?? I dont drive anyone elses vehicles and no one drives mine. Well..... except when I get a chance to drive one of my parent's C6's .

Damn dood ... that sucks.

We have an understanding at my house. SHe don't drive the truck! She can take the car, but the truck is off limits.

I've let my dad drive it once, and I've offered to let my buddy who helps me work on it drive it, but he won't.

That is so crazy to hear what happened to your truck. I was checking out your post w/ the pics of your truck just this morning and saying to myself, "damn, that truck is clean!" Hope they are able to repair it back to the way it looked.

The insurance is supposed to cover it. We share one huge insurance policy, so it should be okay there. The rim will probably take like 6 weeks to get. I just completely rebuilt the rear end a month ago. Why couldn't this happened first?

It is just a real headache. Fighting with the insurance with what should be fixed and what they will actually pay for. Phone calls between the shop, insurance, and me. I really wish this didn't happen. Don't have the time for this.

However, I may be able to talk to the shop owner into throwing a four link under dpending on how much the insurance is going to pay to replace damaged parts. We'll see. I just want the truck fixed right.

I should of known not to let him take the truck. He is an animal. Beats on everything and runs cars to the ground. I guess its my fault in a way.

make damn sure that axle tube is not bent. my brother in-law took out a rearend on a wipeout deal and broke the axle on the drivers side. He bought a new axle and I rebuilt the rearend. 3 months later the axle bearing went out, replaced it. 4 months later again. I got suspicious and took it to get checked out. come to find out the damn axle tube was slightly bent. not enough to see with the naked eye but bent. I was able to get the axle in/out no problem but once it started eating axle bearings I new something wasn't right. we ended up getting a whole new rearend out of a junk yard doner. I just figured I would pass this info along to possibly save you some headaches down the road.
