More than likely if u have cable driven then that link will be what u need because u have return style. Follow that link and u will be in business . There are other ways to go if u have return style which is to use a vett fuel regulator but that's another long topic that u can look up as well. Now if u have wire style TB then u might not have return style and gain there is a few post on here that explains it. What I'm trying to say nicely is the search button is ur friend so use it....

Yup, I searched and found that write up. Thanks for posting it though.

How do you think I found this thread? I searched for TBSS. LOL.

What does a guy do if he can't weld?

Is the NNBS intake the same as the TBSS intake?


It would just be nice if the experienced folks had all the info in one place and made it a sticky. That's all.
Is the swap worth it for forced induction setups?

Earl's 967106 Earl's Steel Male Weld Fittings , these are the fittings I used but please give props to brent5631 he wrote the thread to build these crossover tubes and he was the one who pointed us in the right direction. So I'm giving him credit. But those are the weld on fittings I used and I had a metal fab shop braze it for me due to the fact that it's thin wall tubing. And yes the nnbs intake is the same as the TBSS . I thought the weld on way is better for return style because with the vett reg conversion u have to get it tuned to compensate. But the install Brent5631 did is in my opinion the best install thread that give a lot of pics and info: I for one am doing my swap because of how easy brent5631 made it to be.

And no I'm not whoring this find and no I'm not getting a cut of this find ( although I wish I was) if I find a good deal I try to let others know because there's been a lot of interest in the swaps

Still better off buying a complete one off ebay if your trying to peice one together..

If u have the newer style if u have the old return style with cable half the pieces on a complete one u cant use

In regards to ^^^ I said Not if u are doing a swap where ur truck is already return style and cable driven. the older style like a lot of us where the TBSS stock fuel rail is not return style and if the intake comes complete with TB that is electronic (which comes on the TBSS and nnbs intake) than the TB is useless to because older trucks have cable that's what was meant.But andrew383 does have a point that if u do have the newer non return style and u run electronic TB than yes it would be cheaper ( if u can find it for 150)but most who r doing this swap are working with the old return style

ah, yup 01 return style here. BTW got my intake manifold today, looks like it should. I'll worry about the rest of the parts later.
