Most the of braking performance comes down to the pad/rotor combo. Better pads do so much to improve stopping power. Perhaps looks into a higher end set.

Regular DOT 3 fluid is just fine. Unless you think you'll be putting some serious heat into the brakes with racing or towing heavy loads down hills and risk boiling the fluid.
Dot 3 and dot 4 can be used. Higher end set arent always the greastest... especially compared to say your inhouse made brand..

For the tests I run, I see long heat cycles and more wear attributed to "higher end" brakes.

got a bit of an education on that- as it turned out, DOT 5 was actually not an improvement for systems like ours then 5.1 was created...........

Lines finally got here yesterday, just had another big idea; thinking maybe the rotors are not warped as there's no shudder when I grandpa around but coming down from speed it's very exaggerated. So I'm thinking, the tires out of balance being transferred to the chassis via the solid clamp mounting at the wheel. Is my thinking correct..................

Stainless braided lines up front, slotted rotors, semi metallic heavy duty pads, fluid flush and a good bleed ur pedal will be feelin great. Just did all that plus all new rubber coated lines and a new master cylinder on my truck

When you say coming down from speed, do you mean 55 mph or 120 mph?
Stock rotors will heat warp from high speed, and return relatively to normal flatness when they cool off. I don't remember how many times you have to heat them before they become permanently warped.

Everything finally came in all done and bled. Less effort is needed to stop AND more stopping power is available. B4 no matter how much ya kept on pushing the pedal there was just so much stopping power available, almost on par with Mom's Denali............
