Default Brake hard line failure

Lost hydraulic brake power while driving. Hard line over the rear axle on passenger side cracked.

Does anyone know if just the line that goes from the T piece to the passenger caliper is available for sale? Thinking I can just replace that and go on. Thanks

I'd contact a dealer and see what they say. I know napa doesn't have any pre-made lines like that.

It would rather easy to just make that line because it's not very long.

The axle steel lines are not available, but all the front lines between the abs module and master cylinder, both front wheels and the main line along the frame are available in a kit through gm that are coated, theres a bulletin about it and it mentions fabricating the rear axle lines.... Some stores carry a pre cut and flared line that just needs to be bent into shape if you can match up fitting threadpitch and tube length...

Not sure about the lines, but did/do you happen to have your exhaust pointed that way without going over the axle? At one point I didn't have an axle tailpipe piece so the exhaust just exited straight back from the muffler and pointed at the axle. I was at a dyno and it actually melted one of the straps (luckily when he was retightening and not during a pull), so I am wondering if you had that setup if that's what caused it to fail.

Exhaust was out the bumper

I presume the failure a combination of age, rust and numerous max hydroboost brake boosta.

If you've got a tubing bender and a flare tool the short lines are really easy to make. You just lose the OE bend radius spring.
