Default Brake Controller ??'s

I am geting ready to haul some of my stuff down to college in an enclosed trailer. and i am planning on putting a brake controller in my truck but i do not have the harness that plugs in under the dash. i went to the dealer and they said that it was $48... does this sound right?? i mean all it is is a connector and wires.. how does that cost 48 bucks??? any ideas were i can get one at??

That sound like too much to me, check with local parts stores, camping and trailering stores and dealers. One of those places should have one.

I bought one to connect to my prodigee (sp?) for like $15, try a camping/RV store, thats where I got mine

yea,any body who sells trailers should have the adapter. that is why i was asking when you needed it, is b/c my dad sells trailers and he has them.

thanks guys.. i found one on ebay for $12 so i bought it. I think it is rediculous on how GM, Ford, or Dodge charge so much for factory parts. thanks again.
