Default Bought a non-chevy truck and LOVE it!!!!!!

I bought a 89' Power Ram 350 with a Cummins 3 days ago and havent been able to sleep! Its AWSOME. Its my first diesel. Its a 1-ton reg cab 4x4 with a matching camper thats coming off.

I got it from a guy i work with for $500 Its is in good shape and the drive train is perfect. I've never seen a cummins more than 6 months old this clean. I plan on doing a few power mods to it. Luckily the cummins 12v didnt change much between 89' and 98' when they went 24v. So it has HUGE potential.

I plan on spending mo more than $1k and having about 650rwtq.

I need an intercooler---$150 eBay
3200rpm spring---$20
16mm turbin---$145
Stage III compressor---$219
4" to 5" turbo back---$500

That might be the only truck worth driving that Dodge puts out to-date. I think there is a cummins that i saw a while back on this site that was running 11's. Never seen so much black smoke in all my life!!

I know right, cummins powered is the only kind of Dodge i would own.

I still think the Dmax is the big bad *** of Diesels, but i sure cant afford one to play with.

I have spent alot of time over at Dieseltruckresource.com finding out about all the free mods and cheap mods. Some of those old Cummins are putting out 500rwhp and over 1200rwtq! And thats with just bolt ons like injectors, turbo upgrades, pump springs, exhaust, ect.....

Mine being a reg cab only weighs 6200# empty, minus the plow.

Well at least you have a powerful truck now so you can tow around your other truck incase it becomes just a "track car" lol.

That and it makes a good beater too. It gets 20mpg around town. With the mods i plan it is suposed to increase 8-12%, so then it will be in the 22mpg around town range. Way better than my truck or Blazer ever got.

Damn, $500! I would have jumped all over that too. Is it a 4-speed, 5-speed or auto?
