Default Boost gauge suggestions.

Well I still need one, I've been limping around part throttle to be safe for a few days now. I need a boost gauge bad, I don't want to blow 200-300 bucks on one either. Don't like the tripple pillar pod and want one that does not clash with my interior. I have the dark blu Escalade gauges, so anyone have any suggestions for me? The install seems pretty straight forward so all I need a is a reputable source. Lets hear it guys.
I am almost positive this thing is over boosing!!!

Go to autometer's site and look at the different mechanical boost gauges. Those are the cheaper ones that need a tube from the manifold to the gauge. Also look into their steering column gauge housing for our trucks. It holds one gauge.

put a gauge in. How would you be able to tell it's overboosting? Unless the wastegate is not doing its job, i hope that you should be alright.

I just installed my Auto Gauge in my cluster. Go check out the post "shoulda came stock in the truck"... i started the thread a few days ago.

I like the one you did, but my cluster has the trans temp there. I think it over boosting because it pulls ok 55% throttle to maybe 80% then if you stomp it to the floor it revs out and the thing stumbles hard and breaks up. Could be something else I guess but I'll only know for sure with the gauge. Maybe my fuel system is not enough for it, maybe injectors, pump or even the filter is clogged. I bought one but did not cahnge it yet. Its a time thing, I've been working mad hours and sick to boot. Just taking it easy on the truck till I have time to sort through this stuff. One thing at a time for testing and I'll track it down. Thanks for the feedback

DO NOT BOOST ANYMORE UNTIL YOU GET THAT LOOKED AT!!!!

I would look into a fuel pressure gauge and boost gauge at the very least. It sound like your tuning might be off at WOT, or maybe the fule filter is clogging.

I have not and will not boost until the gauge is in, I promise. I got this condition from the second or third day after the install, before that it did not do what I described. Not even once. It all started after one run up to 125mph. Before that it seemed to be great. I have cheched for any leaks in the system and oil to the turbo, oil returning from turbo, I even checked the little buzzer that comes in the kit to see if it did work...it did. I drove the truck for work the other day 180 mile round trip, watched all my #'s with Predator diagnostic mode to make sure I was not running lean. (yes I know Predator sucks but its all I have for right now) I also talked to Allen at Nelson a couple of times since then, my fuel enrichment mode is set for 55% throttle position angle so I kept it below as much as possible. The truck drives fine when cruising at almost any speed, even up to 85mph. The problems starts when the throttle is pushed hard and the turbo spools up. So for now NO MORE BOOSTING!!
