Default Blown Fuel Pump Relay

A friend of mine has blown 4 fuel pump relays in the last month. 1 a month ago and 3 in the last week or so. We are trying to figure out what is wrong and the only thing we can think of is a short some where. Does anybody have an idea of what it is? His truck is a 1998 GMC z71. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Check how many amps the fuel pump is drawing.... Also check the terminal tension that the relay plugs into... Could be either...
