Default Big Thanks

Hey, I just wanted to give a big thanks to all the guys that helped support the truck bracket this year at the SBSO. With out yalls support, the 13 trucks that where there would have not been able to have a little grudge match racing. A big thanks to those that helped with the entry fees and where not even go to come.
I think everybody enjoyed the day, (thank goodness the rain held off )
IT was fast and furious racing but it was a blast.
there where 3 trucks running low 12's to mid 13's
3 in the 14's and a few running 15
even had a couple of almost stock guys run.
funny thing about it was the quick guys where some of the first ones knocked out.
by the semi's there was 1 truck in the 14's, and two trucks in the 15's with one in the 16's
who would have thought that would happen
so for those of you that thought your trucks where too slow to compete. it just goes to show that it's not always how fast you are.
everybody had very nice rides out there. tobad it had rained all the way up there, and most of us had filthy trucks but, hey I'm not complaining about mine being dirty, they let us race
but again.
Thanks guys, I had a blast and cant wait for the Thunder Shootout in Oct.
I think TnTrk53, will be defending his title there
good luck to all

You guys rock! Keep supporting the events just like you do, and we will always have an event for you guys to race in.

Now, who is going to step up this year in the truck field and start taking the cars down heads up? Someone build a 10-second LS1 truck!

Yep, I think there are several truck projects underway that'll make 10's a reality.

Hmmm, wonder what it would take for 10s? Anyone care to venture a guess? 600-700 rwhp? Maybe a FI stroker?

I've been talking with a local guy who does some unreal fab work, and we're looking into doing either a large single turbo or twin T04E's. This will be later on down the road--maybe early next year. I think that my current setup should be good for 12's with some traction, and all I have is a cammed LS1.

Ditto that. I really wanted to race you mwalls54, wet and dry. That is one Fine SS you have. The rain took all the shine and most of the fun out of the whole weekend.I would like to see those Ghost Flames on black clean, and my old truck has never been to a race that dirty. If you get near Memphis in your many travels call me I know a few places we can Line'em up.

Woops I forgot this was a thank you thread, Thanks.

I gotta say I enjoyed all 3 runs I made. It is kinda ironic hot the fastest ones were the 1st out. I guess that's just bracket racing though.

I can't wait to get to do this again. Hopefully next time we won't have a 6 hour drive there and back. We had a very eventful trip down there. I will make another post about it once I get the pictures off my camera.

To all those that I got to meet, it was good to put a name and face together. Another big thanks to Allen for sponsering the event. Another one for Brian too ... I wouldn't have been there without him helping out!
