some speculation from detroit that gm may be interested in buying chrysler from the germens. Just the rumor raised dimeler stock 3 bucks friday.This would change alot of things.

oh **** that, I hate seeing big companies merge, only thing we get out of it will be less competition and higher prices.

 

Not so much in this case. With the strong Jap auto makers flooding our country with their cars at dirt cheap prices and the Chinese soon to be sending cars over at dirt cheap prices, this may allow GM to start to offer their cars at lower prices. Bigger market share i(n this case hopfully) will equal lower prices for all of us.

I did a little bit of digging and they're only gonna be buying the SUV division of Chrystler. So no viper Z06s or corvette R/Ts

 

Noone even thought of a cummins motor in a chevy truck? with the style and comfort in the chevy interior/ exterior, with that motor could open some doors to alot more potential buyers. Not to mention that motor with the allison tranny! Most people who have the cummins diesel say they would buy whatever truck it was in..

This is just talk no way this would ever happen!
