My optima red top finally gave up the ghost after 9 years.
I have heard the quality has dropped on these, currently reading up on AGM and the like.
Truck gets driven lots I'm the winter and has stereo/aux lighting etc so I guess I'm putting a bit more of a load on then normal.
School me on late 2015 battery choices if you would be so kind.

I have had good luck with the optima blue tops starting/deep cycles. Have had one for about 6-7 yrs and another for about 3 yrs. the last one I bought had a rebate for free charger that is pretty nice pretty sure it was around this time of year too. Every time i tried one of the box store brands I would maybe get a year out or them in Florida climate.

I have an oddessy for about 4 years that I've swapped from my old honda to my ranger and then was going to put it in my truck but its to big for the stock spot so it was sitting in the garage about 6 months. But last week it was really cold and my mercedes battery finnaly quit (so old it had no stickers left) and I hooked up the odessy and she fired right up! which is a miracle for an 84 diesel in -4 degrees.

I have had the best luck with AC delco over interstate.
I typically get around 6 years out of the ones I install in my personal vehicles and I usually get the higher end battery.
They usually have a low cost option as well as a higher cost option
We Typically had a 4:1 return ratio at the shop I worked out for defective interstate batteries which usually occurred in the first year of use.
We started selling more AC delco's as they were $10 less our cost. Interstate saw the decline in sells and I Personally told them it was due to the high defective returns and cost. Instead of trying to be competitive they pulled the Line from us. The Few months after that was like pulling teeth to get them to honor warranty on existing sales as well purchasing new product as customers who were brand loyal and Still wanted to purchase Interstate batteries.
