I want to swap my fleet side to a step-side. It can't be very difficult. Bumper bolts, fuel filler neck bolts, disconnect wires for lights, bed bolts then swap.

Very easy- 8 (I think) bolts, theres a main connector for the tail lamps, disconnect the fillet next and find some hearty friends to do some lifting. The bumpers are different I think, and I'm shooting into the dark, but since the step sides fuel door is in the step recess, the neck itself may be slightly shorter.

I am going to do it if i can find a person that would like to trade a fleet for a step thats what i have is a step. The bed bolts will line up just right, the bumpers want i will have to get a fleetside bumper so when i trade i will do the bumpers at the same time.

So you got a stepside? Well i'm looking to get a truck within the next couple weeks and they don't make the stepside anymore and i prefer the stepside over the reg fleet. Maybe we could swap. BTW, what color is your truck?

I just did it, bumpers are different and a completely different filler neck, but fleet side filler neck can be modified to fit, just has a bad angle to fill with, wiring harness for the lights are also different, but plugs in on the frame are the same. I also got rid of the hitch and rear bumper and put a roll pan on mine, street scene still makes them.
