Even when Allen does come out on top, the Westers guys will have some excuse... "oh, that test was bias" or "i got bad gas" or "my fuel filter was dirty" LOL

Westers is a good tune, but on the conservative side is all.

gm-trucks.com.. Westers 87 octane tunes are really good but when it comes to all out performance like Hitman said i think he is a little on the conservative side. I still dont see how the dual ocatane tune is going to work... anyone have any ideas??

if you have someone near you that can run atap or EFILIVE or a predator, and record everything that is going on with your truck, im pretty sure allen could tune it real good for you.
and then once you get his tune, log back on and see how it is acting.
not an expert here but in my mind that would seem to work.

this is what i have done with mine. i have edit and let allen tune it. then i tweek a little here anbd there and see if he agrees. i also do not have to go back and forth to his place. to have it retuned everytime. although i live a little closer than you do, its still a long drive. so i log onto the truck with a predator and see how its running and then email allen and he adjusts for the readings that i am getting. he also changes anything that i cannot change myself...
i am still learning this edit business, so im still needing a hand with it.

if you guys are looking for ALL OUT PERFORMANCE, have a tuner with a dyno on site do the tune with your vehicle there. that's the one and only BEST way to tune. if you're talking about the best tuners around Chris Robinson at RPM in Lewisville, Tx is just that. vettes, fbods, trucks, hummers, it doesn't matter he can tune it better than anyone else. and he has a dyno, wideband and everything else needed on site. Mail Order stuff is ok i guess, but you can't beat actually having the vehicle there to see exactly how it will be effected by the changes.

I agree! Dyno tune with a wide-band is a good way of accomplishing a thorough tune IMO.

dont get me wrong a tune in person is the best.
this is the way i went. i do not have a mail order tune. allen rode in the truck and tuned on the fly, i guess you would call it that.
but to change piddly things that need to be adjusted or new mods. he can email them to you . or you can change them yourself, like i do.

Default I read thatr Nelson

I read a "fight between Nelson tunes and Wetsers tunes and say were a guy was saying that Allen often calls Lyndon when he runs across problems tuning and also that Nelson has purchased many tunes from Westers! After many words back and forth it was proven buy phone calls to both Nelson and Westers buy friends of both places! I think its just a stupid thing to argue over all of us and people at other forms have somehting in common we liek our rides to go fast and look clean~~~~ Keep on truckin!

I currently have Wester's. I went that way for 2 reasons. First, I hadnt found this site yet, so the info I recieved was a little biased. Lastly, I hadnt planned on taking the truck this far. Havent had any probs so far at all, however, I dont have a scan tool so Im pretty much in the dark. Lyndon is doing the tune for my blower so I will have that logged and maybe have it wideband tuned.
I dont know why people get so angry about the whole thing. From what I have read many have gone from Wester's to Allens so that has to say something
