I need to get a battery for my 99 silverado it still had the original battery in it. Finally died on me this morning. Whats the Highest CCA I can go on my silverado?

What battery do u recommend?

I have the red top optima in my TA and love it.

 

Get the biggest battery that will fit in the battery tray; it will have the highest CCA's, probably around 850. I like the Red top also but they are expensive.

 

Optima Red Top. There are 2 models that fit our trucks, get the larger--it has more CCA. $119 at Advanced Auto.

I have a red top in my truck, but if you want CCA I think Autozone has one with 1050.
