Looks good. Do you have any pics of the fitting in the pipe?

My temps rose pretty bad putting around before the header wrap. Now, ambient cruising, less than 10* rise going slow.
4" pipe, rubber 90*, and i believe a flexible 4"->3.5" reducer. Tried the PVC, but the 4" I.d. stuff didn't work. Just like everyone else.

There's not a lot to see. I just drilled a 1/4" hole in the pipe and screwed the fitting in. It probably needs some silicone caulk but it seems fine for now, not leaking, I just wanted to get it running.

Give it a shot. As long as it can't collapse on itself at WOT, you're good to go!

See the post above yours... abs sewer pipe, works great and thin enough walls to still use 4"silicone pieces with it.

Well I finally went to home depot and found some ABS tubing. ID is exactly 4" and OD is 4.5". I figured the thicker walls may help in the vegas heat but I don't know. I'm going to order a 100mm housing and LS3 maf tonight after I do some research. This little addition is going to be costly haha. But I figured the AFE kit I have on there now is a huge restriction on my 408. I wouldn't doubt a 15hp increase.

I ordered all the silicone pieces that I think I will need. Also the MAF and honeycomb straighteners. All that is left is an air filter that will fit the 4.5" OD tubing and the MAF housing. Any recommendations on the housing? I see a few for $100-150 and then a Spectre 100mm tube that is around 35$. I'm not a cheap *** by any means but I don't see why the spectre piece wouldn't be fine. Any input?

The spectre tube, MAF, and silicone pieces showed up today. Still waiting on the air straighteners and AFE filter. I was going to try and make my current filter work but it has a 5.5" flange and I couldn't find anything bigger than a 4.5" coupling for this ABS pipe. So I just ordered a new filter.

The spectre quality is way better than I expected. It came in a nice box and comes with the MAF mounting screws/plate, some plastic reducers, and a nice carrying case. LOL The inside diameter measured 98.7mm.

I will get the rest of the pieces in and tear into the old cai. Cant wait to get it all together.
