Default Anyone see These Trucks

I saw 2 Black Regular Cab Short Bed Chevy or GMC trucks on a Hauler going down I 70 today. I was going down exit ramp so I did not see the front of them.
Both were black with Red Strips going down middle of truck and on tailgate.
Looked like 17 or 18" crome rims. Duel's set inside roll pan with stanless or
crome tips flush of pan. Kinda like the inlet on an SS only in rear. Saw paper
on door window so They must be new.
Anyone have an Idea if they are a Special Production?

might be a couple of regency customs. i don't think GM would make a truck with a roll pan directly from the factory...too much of a safety risk imo.

Did they look like this:

My buddy saw three on US HWY 80 heading east of Dallas yesterday on a truck carrier. They were Regency converions. Look very nice. All bark, no bite though.

That is what they were. You guys are always on top of things.
I think they need to put an LS6 with a SC or take my buddies ZR1 motor
with 6 Speed, then they would have a show and go, not just a show.
Thanks for pic's BigTex.

I saw one in Longview yesterday when I was at the tire store picking up my slicks. It was a good looking truck and sounded pretty good. It looked level, but it was under hard acceleration.

I guess if you have enough money you can buy one and drop in a 6.0 and a six speed. I wonder if those puny 5-speeds would even hold up to a SC 4.8.
