Default anyone have this damn problem with the stock CD player?

Time resets itself about once a day to 12:00
On long drives, if playing a CD itjust quits, goes black and comes back 5 seconds later. About once every 2 hours or so.

anyone else? cure?

Mine that once. My whole dash actually went out for about 5 seconds. My cluster included. I think it could a heat buildup problem actually. CDs are damn hot whenever you eject them in mine.

Could be loose connections on the 12v ignition wire or the 12v battery wire (check ground too just to be thorough).

The dealer can reset the radio and then reprogram it with an updated program. Fixes most problems with the 03 and up radios. If that doesnt work, then you have to replace it.

First I've heard of it. Only problem I've seen happens when playing burned discs.
On our 4th 04+ Chevy with this radio, too.

My factory CD player would always stop playing CD's and act like there was not even one in there. I got tired of it and got a aftermarket Kenwood, been very happy ever since. The factory radios are no good
