This thread is intended for a select group of people. It is not for everyone.
I never implied that things didn't happen. However, if you're not going to leave the evidence, and you're not going to say what was happening that was so offensive, then I don't understand the point of this thread. What are people supposed to do in response to it? What behavior change are you expecting, if you don't outline the offending behavior and desired behavior in detail?

Without specifics, this thread would have been much better served as a PM to your 'select group of people'.

So I take it, this is just a problem in the truck forums? That's not cool at all! I can't believe none of the "car guys" do similar stuff.

I agree with nineball, although those guys that you mentioned are actually pretty funny and likable people, however, some stuff just goes too far and some people are getting offended. This is the internet, its world-wide, and more than 75% of the people, i'd say, probably do not personally know one another, thus, the kind of joking they were doing(im going to guess it was joking and not being serious) is more along the lines of what "good ole" friends would do and not acquiences over the internet, so thats why it kinda hits home or is real personal with the mods and others. Its understood to me and hopefully this post will straighten up ones that want to bend the rules.
Well spoken.

Yes, the group of banned members have had their funny moments here. Most of the time, everyone gets along well and there isn't any drama. Then here comes the drama again, and the negative actions and behavior. Then comes the taunting of our staff members, trying to push that edge a little further each time. Warnings are issued, and then policies are questioned.

Here is a hint. If you **** off the staff members and owners of a website, don't expect the welcome mat to be on the doorstep waiting for you. We do not need the hassle, and life will go on without such hassles.

Very right, ya, I understand, If i was ever asked to be a mod, i'd have to pass (which i dont know enough about anything nor am I online enough to be one). But I wouldnt be able to do it.

So anywho.. lets just obided by the rules and make these refridgerator-like machines as fast as humanily possible and little by little close in on Jim's(parish) Blue Sleeper

It does not really matter what happened. The purpose of this tread is to refresh members minds of the rules and regulations of this free forum that every one of us has benefited from. There is no reason at all to bring up the bad, lets move forward with the good. Most of us are guilty of breaking the rules now and then....myself included.

How can you not read my replies above and put forth some sort of idea of what is being stated? I didn't start this thread to point out direct examples of what has been done. I started this thread to point out that the rules and policies of this site need to be followed.

So, in summary, don't break the rules or screw with the staff members on a personal level, and things will be fine. Simple.

Believe it. Its not ALL the truck members as a group. It is a group of about 10-15 members that hang out in these forums that are causing the problems. We do not have these issues at all in the other forums on this site.

Only thing that irks me is I still never recieved a response about a problem I had with a particular mod in a car forum. Ohh well, I guess you're too busy to respond back. I trust that the PM was at least noted. I understand how difficult it can be to keep up with PMs.

Only thing I want to make clear for myself is:

Posts taunting other members, even in a playful manner, are not tolerated either or is this just mainly about the taunting and "buton pushing" of our mods? The mods in the truck forum will remember my "Grippy's Lulliby" post. Are posts like these out of line? Just wanna know so I don't get added to that list since I do have a habit of playing around. LOL

Naked AV;
I suspect it's difficult to put something to bed without going into too much detail as to why but as a relatively new and mostly passive subscriber, take it from me, there HAS been some bad behavior exhibited by a few others. I haven't seen the really offensive stuff but it's been alluded to in a couple threads I've stumbled across. I understand and share your curiosity but the moderator's word is good enough for me. Considering the situation, I think it's best that we let sleeping dogs lie and get on with more productive business. Like helping each other with our trucks.

Nick
