Default Anybody's Speedometer quit working in the cold weather?

The craziest thing (and no, I didn't search for this topic first) the speedo just clicks for miles until the darn Yukon is warm, then it jumps up into place. What the heck?

Anybody else?

Anyone that owns a 2003 and newer Sierra, Silverado, Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban, H2, etc, is going to be having that problem. I work for a GM dealer and we had those problems big time last year and so far have this year equally as bad.

gm extended the warranty on the clusters of most vehicles, yours should be one.

I got an 03 GMC Sierra. Just not too long ago it started acting up with me. When you accelerate, the speedometer doesn't want to go up, but it always comes down during deceleration. The cruise will maintain the same speed and the odometer keeps up with the mileage correctly. If it's the cluster, how much $ are we talking about?

Mine went in for warranty work last week because of the same issue. They fixed the speedometer, now the Tach and Volts are screwed up so they are ordering me a new cluster. Mine is still under warranty, if it wasnt I would jsut buy one with a Tranny gauge and swap it out.
