I am just wondering because I am serously considering taking my 2 12's w0 out and and making a 1^3ft enclosure for a single kicker L7 10".

I must be stoopid, but what is Xmax? I have my L7 10's in a .66 box each. That is the minimum that Kicker recomends. What amp do you plan on using? I had a Kicker ZR360 on them that rated at 541 on a 4 ohm mono and I ran it 2 ohm. I figured it was pushing 675 +peak. That was not enough. Now I have a JBL BP1200 (1200x1 2ohm mono) and it is plenty.

Xmax is the cones maximum one way linear excursion. This is often measured in mm. For instance, my 12 w0 have an Xmax of 8.6mm while the 12w3 has an Xmax of about 13 mm and a larger motor structure. As a result, the 12w3 can produce higher SPL. Fast4.8, currently an Orion XTR 800.4 to power my whole system. I am using 2 of its channels to power the mids and highs and the other 2 for bass. Bridged, this amp produces 400 @ 4 ohms and its not 2 ohms stable in mono. I am going to have to get a dual 2 ohm L7 and wire the 2 voice coils in series for them to yield a 4 ohms load. However, I heard its underated so it might produce a little more than 400X2. I am only going to run a single Kicker 10L7 with this power. I really hope it's enough power for this driver.

In that case, your XMAX is 13.20 for both the 2 and 4 ohm subs. FYI, check this out... Kicker info Then click the Theile/small parameters under the specs. Hope that helps a little.
