About two weeks ago, when that mother of a cold front blew thru, I tried starting up the truck w/ my remote start and it started then fell right back dead. So I go out to try to manually start it and she turns over but won't start so....Long story short...the wife said take the "alternate vehicle" (the new bike that has NEVER been taken to work). But since it was colder than a witch's titty I decided against it. So I dropped the wife off on my way to work and took her vehicle, not my "alternate vehicle" (which was one of the arguments for buying it). While I was at work I was discussing the dilemna w/ others and came to the conclusion that it might not be the $300 fuel pump that I just put in last year...it might just be the $20 relay. Got home, tried to start it again to no avail, switched out the relay and she started right up. So...anybody ever change out the relay before? (Editor's note: I had her type some of this as she's a faster typist and that's the reason for all the ad lipping..err libbing...)

When the relay on my mustang went out the pump would not stop running. At the time I didn't know what it was so I had to disconnect the battery cable to keep it from running. Never had a problem starting it though, as long as the battery cable was hooked back up.
