Ahhh the memories. I was a skater back in 8th grade and I did the exact same thing to my right arm. I was skating in a HUGE pipe and went up for a turn and the wheels slid out from under me, causing me to fall backwards and catch myself on my hands. Both bones in my arm broke, up near the wrist, and swapped places. My arm was shaped like a "Z".

Yeah, it hurt alot, but got numb pretty quickly. I picked up my board and walked 3 miles home. Breaking it wasn't the worst part, getting it set three times by the doctor was THE worst pain in my life. No pain killers either, since it was swollen.

I cant enforce how good that "wrist support" padding is.....you know, that goes around your forearm and has a strong tab that goes under your palms......I 'bladed at times, but my true crazyness was on the bike......

My son broke his arm like that when he was 3. When we got to the hopital, the nurses in the ER took MY vitals. They said they knew he was going to live, but they weren't sure about me. I was white as a ghost and he was just sitting there like, "You alright Dad?". I'm sure it took 10 years off my life!
