Your problem may also be that you have more exhaust pipe than you do engine. Putting a loud muffler on it (chambered for much higher exhaust volume) will only exacerbate the issue.

i just dont understand though cause it did it with the factory exhaust minus the cats and this muffler and i also tried a magnaflo muffler too with the factory exhaust and it still made the same sound same rpm range.

i dont know if its makes a difference but it only will make that sound when its under a load it wont do it just free reving the motor.

The cats smoothed the exhaust flow considerably, removing them basically is like removing a high temperature resonator. You get more flow and you get more sound.

Your engine isn't really pushing all that much exhaust through in stock configuration, though. The exhaust gases are slowing down (losing velocity) due to low supply and big pipe.

Ok so would it hurt me if I just say adapted down from 3inch pipe to a 2 1/2 muffler inlet and exit

No, you would be fine doing that. Or as stated above, a larger muffler will also help. I went from the cackling/popping straight pipe setup to a 3 in/out magnaflow and it quieted right down. Granted it's through a 14 inch muffler...

Well I think I got this figured out. 2 days ago I put on a magnaflow that's a single 2 1/2 in dual 2 1/2 out and it killed the popping sound. I guess ill have to have a dual exit muffler cause when I tried a single in single out magnaflow it still made that popping sound. I think I'm gona buy a spintech 6000 3 inch in with dual 2 1/2 out and see what happns.
