That article wasn't the best. On their huge picture of the "5.3" it had 317 heads

Rule of thumb is for every 100 lbs. you shed you gain 1/10 sec.

80lbs is a lot off the front of a Camaro. I know it doesn't seem like much with a 4700 lbs truck, but for a 2700 lbs camaro, it's like taking all the the A/C, Power steering and, & air injection off the car. things that are already off! plus trying to achieve 50/50 balance is key. We've already relocated the Radiator to the rear of the car for better balance.

Wouldn't the added weight of extra coolant negate the gains from moving it to the back???

Take that "rule of thumb" theory and apply it to a every corner. If you can gain a tenth of a second in every corner/turn with a course set-up averaging 15-20 turns. You are gaining seconds now! Not tenths.

No, it does helps. Plus, you're taking weight off the front and moving it to the center and rear of the car. THe aluminum tubing might weigh a pound or two.

I saw that too and thought WTF? Then I tried looking in the photo for the 6.0 stamping on the front of the block!
