Angry Alright, Lets begin

As you all know my truck recently got stolen. The insurance company let me keep my truck and they're gonna write me a check. The bad part is that the truck will have a "rebuilt" title. I havent got the amout of the check yet, its gonna take a few days. from what Im figuring its gonna be close to 12k. Im gonna need a new tranny, I already have the engine, I can get body parts for cheap at local shops for cheap. I want to build a bad *** truck. FLP tranny, OK, corvette LS6, Check, Eaton 3.73 rearend, on its way. I looked at some 22x10 HRE wheels w tires for 3k. Im gonna go with the factory front end with billet everything and projectors. The interior is gonna be factory charcoal grey w/ Black leather seats and door insterts. Denali console. I need more Ideas guys. Help me out, you all have good taste. On all teh items above is about 7k. I'll still have another 5k and my income tax return is another 5500. so lets keep it the budget. They think It was some little gangbangers that stole my truck. bastards

Get a escalade front end or a denali conversion if you are having to replace parts. Denali interior pieces or escalade would also be really nice. Custom paint, maybe shave some stuff. If you get the truck back insurance companies in certain states often have to pay for lost or diminished value of the vehicle. It means basically that since your truck has been wrecked or rebuilt it is not worth as much as it originally was even before the accident. Even if fixed you wouldn't want to pay as much for a previously wrecked vehicle as you would for one that hasn't. Insurance has to compensate the difference of value even after they have paid the vehicle off. I know Floridas laws are structured like this I would check to see if your states are also.

i got an idea,

just total it and get your 20,000

buy a used 99 gmc 4.8l 5spd for like 8 grande.. then swap to a ls6 with a 6speed , build a custom center console for a short shifter, .. or go auto.

then you would have a clean truck, clean title, and then get full suspenion... and still have enough for a radix.

did i mention a clean title?

it will be hard to get rid of your truck if you ever decided to sell it

rob'sgmcss, what did those f@#kers do to your truck when they stole it for the insurance co. to give you a check for that much? Did they wreck it , ragg it out or blow the engine or something? just curious.
