Default Aiming Denali lights.

I bought a pair of Denali headlights on the classified section of this sight, and they sure do project a lot of light with the 6000k HID bulbs and high4 mod. But I can't get them adjusted! What's the trick to this? I'm pretty sure I got the lowbeams pointing the right way, but the highbeams seem to be too high and too far out. I'm pretty sure they're not independant of eachother, so WTF? Has anyone run into this?

Put a piece of cardboard under bottom of it.

JK. I have them too and not sure how to aim them.

HID bulbs in a halogen projector is probably your problem.

The element is a different size/shape/orientation.

If you set them so your low is aimed right then you must have thrown off your high beams

Dammit! I'll have to figure out a shim system then.

I'm thinking the HIDs will have to come out. The lights aren't as bright now as when I had the high 4s properly adjusted. I didn't want them to be a step back! So does anyone know how to convert sealed rectangular beams to HID??? Gonna make the Oldsmobile bright yo!

Update!
Kinda hack, but I unscrewed the keyed plastic lock plates off the bulbs, turned the bulbs a quarter turn in, and screwed the lock plates back on. They're not fitting perfectly on the bulbs, because they only screw on one way, but they're still holding them in fine and the lights are pointing far closer to the right direction. Not quite perfect, as the high beams are still a bit high, but I think a shim in the top of the high beam bulb s or bottom of the low will do the trick.

I had HID in my lows it didn't work right so I switched back to the stock lights and put the HIDs in the highs and it works tons better now.
