Default Ahhh...open exhaust

I've been running open exhaust for awhile now and it sounds great but today i noticed a deadspot in the low end. Am i imagining things or do i need to cap it back up?

you will notice a deadspot in the lowend. I have heard of a loss in lowend because of this. I think its because there is a lack of backpressure but im not sure. Apearently our motors like a bit of BP.

Yeah, you'll definitely notice a drop in lowend with open exhaust on a stock tune. The first time I got my exhaust done they did true duals with straight pipes and no mufflers and there was definitely a loss down low in the SOTP meter as it is now that I got cutouts. I think its more noticeable in the smaller engines like my 4.8.
