Question Aem Intake system in wet/winter?

I have the Aem Cold air intake system on my 05 Sierra 5.3L I have been running it all summer / Winter ect. My question is if the filter gets wet from snow blowing on it or from wet driving dose the filter still keep the dust thats on the filter out of the intake? I dont think my filter got to wet but just want to be safe. Also dose eny one els run the filter system in the winter?
