Default AC question...not cold!

I have an 05 LT model with the digital temp controls. It recently got prety warm outside and was the first time I used the air when it was real hot. With the auto feature it had kicked on before but not when it was this hot out. Anyhow, I turned it down as far as it would go (60* F) and it blew at full strength and never got cold. It never got cool in the cab. I'm guessing this is not normal?
Anyone else with a similar expirence with thiers?

Mike

You need to check the air temp coming out of the vent's. You may have a blend door problem letting warm air mix. With a r134a system 40-48* on max at 2k rpms after a min or so would be working correctly. Anything above 52ish and i would hve that sucker checked.

It takes a bit to cool of my 03 but will get cold in the cab. My windows are tinted also.
