Default AC Question

Tried a search but didn't come up with anything. Been noticing my AC acting up for a little while now but haven't had the chance to actually take a look until today. The problem is that the AC blows cold for about an hour or so depending on the temperature outside, but than it starts heating up. I turn it off for about a minute and than back on and it gets cold again. Well today when I was checking some things under the hood I noticed frost on the lines running from the low pressure line by the accumulator into the H block on the firewall and the low pressure line coming out of the H block to the accumulator. After closer look it starts forming frost right around the orifice tube, so I'm thinking that maybe it's plugged up with something somehow. Not gonna have a chance to hook a set of guages up to it for a couple of days, but just wanted to get an idea if anyone else has had this same type of problem.

If so how much were all the parts and about how long did it take to repair.

Sounds like you might be low on freon. Mine did the same thing, everything checked out fine with the gauges but was 0.2-0.3 lbs low after I got the freon pulled.
