ABS problem
#1
When I come to a stop if I hit a bump the truck hops and the ABS kicks in with very little brake pressure applied. This past Saturday we had the snow/ice storm sorta I guess but I was going to the local parts store and I started to brake to turn in the lot and I barely hit the brake and the ABS kicked in like crazy and I started to slide all over. My question is is there a snesor that picks up vibrations or something that would make the ABS kick in with no sliding of the tires? I know they shouldn't be kicking in this easy. Its was kinda freaky b/c had there been a car in front of me I would have hit them when my brakes w/o ABS kicking in would have stopped me just fine

+1, There's actually a recall on earlier model NBS trucks for this exact problem. Rust and dirt builds up on the front abs speed sensors and reluctor wheels and gives false readings causing premature abs activation and over sensitive abs control.

Yup, good thing is that it's a lot easier to replace than a abs module or pump.
