ABS Light
#1
So the ABS light on my '02 Tahoe came on today and for some reason, the ABS motor that the brake lines feed into won't shut off when my SUV is turned off. It makes a similar noise to that of a fuel pump running. In order to make it stop, I have to pull the ABS fuse. The fluid level seems fine, although I could stand to change the fluid. Any ideas on what might be causing this motor to continue to run, or what to do?

your abs module is fucked making the abs pump stay on all the time. Have fun buying a new $500 part to fix it. That's what I had to do.
Or you could pay $150 to have it repaired. It's simply just a little mosfet connector that burns out inside of it.

Mine blew as well. I am currently just putting up the the lights- will get module masters to fix when I get the chance. I have pulled a travel trailer with the truck in this condition, and I realize that I do not have hard data for this, but I thought it stopped better without ABS. Normal driving; I really do not notice any propensity to lock them up (maybe if the road is covered with water and I am tailgating my GTO- I may lock; but do not plan on trying anytime soon).
