99+ Silvy Seat Removal... Q?
#1
Besides sockets and wrenches are there any specialty required to remove the front seats out of a silvy? Is the seatbelt bolted to the floor or the seat? I don't have my truck anymore and am going to pull a set of seats from a junkyard in the morning.
Thanks,
Chris

Their are two bolts and two nuts. One plugin if they are powered seats. The heads of the nuts and bolts are "reverse torx head". ( Sorry I dont know what they are techically called). But you can use a regular six point socket. I cant remember the sizes that fit but you will need a deep on one of them. Hope this helps.

Cool! I'm picking up a pair of cloth seats from the junk yard tomorrow for $75. Going to install them into my K5 Blazer. If the seats fit with room I might go back for a jump seat. May the custom seat mounting begin tomorrow!
Thanks Guys!

Thats for all the replys. You guys were right on the money. Got the seats out very quickly and was able to install them in the K5 very easily. I just got to drill a few holes to finish mounting them. The seats look and feel great in the truck. Probably the best $75 I've spent in a while. The truck makes at least one trip of 540 miles a month so comfort is a must.
