99 seatbelts won't work

Default 99 seatbelts won't work

I know there's been sum threads about the seatbelts in these trucks not working correctly But the driverside belt won't work ,You can't buckleup: : and I don't like it,Think the dealer would fix it,even though it's a 99? Truck never been wrecked with about 80k miles on it...suggestions anybody thanks......

Is this something that has been going on for a while,or first time you could not buckleup?

Yea it's been a problem for little while, you can't pull it out of seat any suggestions on how to fix? thanks for replying MADS99......

I just had a problem with mine. I'm not sure what kind of seats you have but I have buckets and the seatbelt lock unbolts easy as hell. I just took it apart and got the sunflower seed out and not it works fine. Hopefully your problem is as simple as mine.

Are you the original owner of the truck? There was a recall on the seatbelts of my truck, I had them replaced under warranty back when the truck was almost new. Sounds like the seat belt retractor is jammed, there could be some debris in there like Randomhero mentioned. I think the recall was for the belts not locking up under hard braking IIRC.

I think I'm the second owner,I'm gonna go down to my local dealer and see if they'll fix it seeing's how it was a recall,I'm hoping they'll take care of it,I would sure hate for someone to get killed in this truck,and I know GM would too being it was a known problem........thanks guy's........
