98 Fuel pump assembly
#1
I'm in the middle of installing an LM7 5.3 from a 03 Suburban into my 95 GMC
Sierra. I live in California, and need the smog stuff. One thing, will a 98 fuel pump/sending unit work with my 95? ( will the pump run and fuel gauge work)?
Gentlemen, what do you think?

Put a 98 up truck tank and truck fuel pump in yours and everything will work correctly. You will have to change the fuel lines at the tank but that's no problem. The 98's use quick connect fittings just cut the metal lines off on the frame from the donor truck and use compression fittings to put them on your truck and you will be good to go.
The 95 tank will not accept 98 pump.

He needs the EVAP pressure sensor installed in the 98 up sender to comply with emmissions where he lives. The only way to do this is using a fuel tank and pump assembly from a 98 up truck.

Finally got the fuel pump assembly. Went to just check the fuel gauge and it reads 1/2 tank when the tank is empty. It reads extremely full at full ( way to the right). Is there anything I can do to solve this problem? I got the spectrum pump assembly sp461m.

Today tried moving the needle to empty. The gauge goes up and down but its still off. Should I try a 98 insturment cluster? If I do, will everything work on it (fuel, oil, coolant, alt, speedometer, tachometer)?
