I was wandering what every one was paying for there 6.0Ls and 80es, they get from the junkyard ebay and those sort of places?

you can get a 6.0L longblock for $500, 80e probably for about 800-1000.

I got my 4l80e with 21k miles on it for about 900.

i got my 6.0L,wiring harness, motor mounts, alt, 4l80e tranny,computer, basically all the accessories for 2500. so i didnt have to find anything. just get it all put in. i have a 4.3 reg cab.

I've seen some clapped out 80e's on car-part.com for as low as 650. Not bad if you're going to build one up.

i paid $2000 for a 6.0,4l80e,tcase off of ebay and picked up 2 diferent 6.0's for $1100 each. local junk yark quoted me $900 for a working 4l80e with all the extra junk to go with it.

Damn thats cheap, It might even be worth the drive for me to shop around in your area. I paid 2200 for my 03 6.0.

so 700 to a 1000 for each should be what i look for. and when doing a 408 the only thing i need from the 6.0L is the block and the heads if it had 317s everything else is eather replaced with new stuff or i could grab it off my 5.3. am i right about that?
