Smile 5.3l eco turbo

I was thinking about fords ecoboost v6 twin turbo and have a great idea to combat and or beat the ecoboost with a 5.3l I want to build a turbo or twin turbo 5.3l in a way to improve mpg and engine power and torque levels for pulling. it would be the same thing ford did but even better because its a v8 and still sounds bad *** unlike a v6. mabe gm will do this but i think thay will go the bigger cube v8 engine rout like a speculated 7.0l in 2013 new gm trucks.Eny way thats my idea feel free to let me know what you think

you might gain 1-2 mpg with the v8. Somebody on this site did a "turbo for mileage project" and gained a few mpg but nothing huge. I think a turbo inline 6 is the way to go. I would think you need a somewhat smaller displacement engine for more mileage gain. Inline tend to make more torque than a V configuration anyway (well an I6 wont make more than a v8 but an I6 should make more than a v6). A turbo I6 trailblazer engine in the pickups would be badass IMO. Here is a trailblazer engine turboed which sounds awesome IMO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaPnB...eature=related

i like the idea... i might sound dumb but it would be cool to build a stable motor with turbos to last thousands of miles. just my thoughts

thanks for the tips I forgot about the 4.5 duramax wish gm would have used that engine darn epa junk. Eny way mabe GM will offer some turbo v8 engines in 2013 I still like a v8 over eny turbo v6 or inline 6 I guess im a die hard v8 fan love the sound even if the power is less.
