I think the motor/trans harness is the same. Maybe the VSS is different because the 4x4 has a transfer case??

Ok so when I get my ecm flashed to my vin and 5.3 data my tuner can make those adjustments?I was just worried that the plugs on the trans would be wired different

A 4x4 transmission has a different length output shaft. It's shorter. You would have to disassemble the whole trans to change it out. Your better of getting a 2wd transmission.

The wiring harness would have additional plugs for the front differential and depending on which transfercase may also have additional plugs for the actuator and what not. It will still work in a 2wd application though. It would just have extra plugs that are not used.

Well that's good news thanks 1FastBrick I'm gonna use the 4l60e in the v6 truck and see how long it lasts I heard the trans was the same so well see different torque converter tho right?

The TC for the lower power application will probably handle it but stall slightly higher. TCC might not be as resilient.
