Default 5.3 Mods

My buddy, Rollin20s, posted a thread for me a couple of weeks ago about my 5.3L that has 135K miles on it. I read everyones response to it and have decided to start modding. First thing I plan on doin is have the transmission built with a TCI 3000 stall and mild shift kit. Hopefully this will prevent problems down the road. But now I need suggestions on where to go after that. I was planning on putting a TR224 cam next. What do ya'll think I should do?
