I am told also that 6.0 liter exhaust manifolds will flow better, about the same as shorty headers, is there any truth to that or is that a " sales pitch" also.

Yet another sales pitch. Manifolds, TB, Intake, fuel rails, pullies all the same. Stock exhaust manifolds do flow about the same as shorties but that is because shorties pretty much suck.

Thank you for your input, you have saved me alot of money, that I dont have a lot of, being on a budget. Seems I need to move away from my current source of information.

Thats what this site is here for is to help people out, hang out and read for awhile and you will be helping someone else out with the same stuff. And yes, I would stay away from your source of information.
