I dont get it. The 4.8L is the same motor as the 5.3L just .5L smaller. Thats like saying that everyone that dose a build up of a small block is wasting time, effort, and money. I have a 4.8L, I knew I was getting one insted of the 5.3L, and Im ok with that. My little 4.8L was able to go 14.3's With just a 60HP dry shot. In fact I beat in a heads up race a whipple charged 5.3 last Friday and beat him by .5 sec.
The reason I got a 4.8 was to swap out to a larger motor. The price diffence between a 4.8L and a 5.3L is about $800.oo. So whats beter a 5.3 or a 4.8 with $800.oo of mods?
Everyone that is hating on every one else, we are on the same side. And if you dont have a time slip to show for it, your slow. So dont argue about how bad *** your Freak 4.8 or your HUGE 5.3 is.
My race car has a motor that is close to 500 cid. However I was able to build a little 2.0 honda that was able to go mid 13's so I see both sides.

i suggest you stop acting like a 12 year old yourself...if it really bothers you that much, if my post keeps u up at night make the trip up to San Jose so we can deal with the issue.
