I don't get this 4.8, 5.3 thing. When I bought my truck I made sure I was gettin a 5.3 and if there was a 6.0 available in a rcsb I'd have one.

 

yea i dont get why everyone is complaining about the 4.8 or the 5.3 ..

both of them are good, the only difference is the stroke, which is more power.. but there are several reasons why people got the 4.8...such as myself i got my truck for a killer price.

 

Yea, 17Gs for my brand new, fully loaded 2001 Sierra wasn't a bad price to me. I'd rather just save the extra money I would've spent on a 5.3 and put it towards a 6.0. But hey...if it makes you 5.3 guys feel better....those 4.8s suck

 

I agree, I would have rather bought a 5.3 but they didn't have any in the truck setup that I wanted so I bought what they had...if you would like to come to Oklahoma and drag, I have no prob. with that...and I never once said that a stock 4.8 is better than a 5.3, all I said was that I beat a modded 5.3. And the guy was not running 1/2 throttle...I asked him cause I didn't believe it myself... :p

I deleted that after realizing that you weren't talking to me, but I still wouldn't have any problem with racing...state, and city would be more helpful

 

its not hard to believe with those mods good kill...i just like messing wiht hyperlites freak ego since its so easy...but like you said you were going to smoke me on your next leave ill be here waiting with a camera and we can post the results sound cool?
