So the new axle didn't fix it...I'm gonna try to rotate all 4 tires and see how many time the front and rear drive turns.

It's either got to be the wrong gears or transfer case.

I have a front differential. Let me know if you decide to go that route and we can work something out

I will! I'll know this weekend.

So today at work I put the truck on a lift and left it in 4wd and in N.

I rotated the front tires 1 full time and the rear and counted the driveshaft rotations.

The front tires rotating the driveshaft turned 2 times exact...the rear turned about 1.5 Unless something in the transfercase is messed up then it's the gears.

The truck has 35" tall tires on it...don't know how to do the math but I must assume the drive shafts must turne equal lol.

for an open differential, jack up one tire, spin wheel 2X and count pinion/driveshaft rotations.

If you have a locker or Limited slip, jack up both tires, spin wheels 1X (both wheels will spin together) and count pinion/driveshaft rotations.

^^copied off another forum

Sounds to me like you have 3.xx rears and 4.xx fronts

Tire diameter does not matter when counting revolutions. 1 revolution is 1 revolution. If you are still hung up on it, only count the revolutions of your 35s at the height on the sidewall of a 31" tire.

I'm pulling the front end out tonight. The guy that sold it to me swore that it had 3.42 gears in it..even had the gu6 code. But after seing how the drive shaft rotated well there obviously not if the rear is 3.42 and the shafts spun different.

Luckily I did tear my old broken case apart last night and the gears are fine it it...so if the gears are wrong i'm assuming they are.

I guess worse case scenario is the transfer case I just don't see how it could cause this issue.

So got it tore down...3.73 gears in the front.

Got lucky though and used my old parts and made one good front diff.
