That was an option but it wouldn't arrive until today so I told the guy last Friday I'll give him another $100 to do it by Sunday. I'm still under $1000 for the whole swap with install after I sold the 60E so whatever. Now I just need to swap this loose *** converter....ha

Hey whats up guys i have a question. i just did a 4l80e swap on my truck(2011 silverado rcsb) and im having issues with the dipstick. i bought a dipstick of an 05 2500hd silverado with the 80e and tried installing it on mine and its being a bitch and wont go in. tried bending and doing all kinds of things and nothing. if anyone has any info that be cool, before i buy one of those flexible dipsticks but there too short..... thanks

If the tube is torqued to the side a tad on the mounting bolt on the block, it will bind - mine did when I did my swap.

If you already put the trans in the hole and bolted it to the block, you’re fucked.

I re-reinstalled my trans when I first time forgot to put in the dipstick tube after researching a flexible replacement. I read that the flexible tubes have a too small inside diameter, causing it to be super slow adding fluid. I think that the stock tube takes too long to add fluid and I didn't want less flow than that.

Disconnect crossmember at tranny , pull driveshaft, jack tail of tranny up . This gives you more room between motor and firewall. Still PIA but work on my 99 RCSB Silverado
