Default 305/45r18 DR

I just picked up a new set of 18x9.5 wheels.(20 offset)... The 22's were getting old for me, and traction isn't getting any better these days.

I'm at a solid 4/6(have not updated the sig)drop right now.. I can probably raise the back up another inch, if I have to and retain the flip kit, shock relo and Caltracs.

I'm running 285/35/22 right now w/ the BFH mod and zero rubbing. Tires im looking at are 305/45r18 NT-05r drag radials. I know the MT's are liked the most, but they're pretty $$. As for the Tires for the front, probably a 295/45r18 nt-05(not the R).

Anyone have any experience on this or a similar setup?

I'm running 305/45/18 on 9.5" wheels out back on a flip kit with traction bars. I had to roll the fenders to keep from rubbing before the tracbars but no issues since. Running a 265/50/18 on a 8" wheel up front but also have another set of 9.5" with 295/45/18 on them for autox. Should have some recent pics in my built thread here. (link in sig)

Thanks. Nice truck btw.. How much did you drop on your times when going from the 18"s to the 15"s at the track?

I have only tried the 18's at the track a few times in the past and it was a smoke show. I used a 28" slick on 16" wheels prior to the 295/65/15 Hoosier DR2's. It dead hooks at the track now with low 1.6 60'. However all previous tire setups were on my previous suspension too. I am curious to try the 18" drag radials at the track with the new suspension.
